Devices, websites, photographs, typefaces and music turn up throughout what we make. None of it is ours. This page says who it belongs to, why it is here, and how to have it taken down — written twice, so you can read whichever version you need.
The short version: we name other people’s things to be useful or to give them a little light, never to borrow their shine. Ask and it comes down.
iPhone, iPad, Galaxy, Pixel, Surface, Android, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — those belong to the companies that made them. We name them so you can find your own screen on our list and see that your site was built for it. That is the whole reason. We have nothing to do with those companies.
When we show another website in a preview, a comparison or a demonstration, it belongs to whoever made it. Where we can, we choose small studios and small businesses, because a link is free and attention is not. If one of them is yours and you would rather not be here, tell us and it is gone the same day. If you would like to be here, that is easier still.
The library inside the builder is licensed for commercial use through Pexels and the photographers who put their work there. Anything you upload stays yours. Putting a photo on your own site does not hand us any rights to it.
Used under their own licences, mostly the SIL Open Font Licence. The letterforms are the type designers’ work and stay theirs.
Somewhere in our work you will find a small, changing list of music: friends, and upcoming artists the founder thinks the world should hear. It is there as an homage, closer to an Easter egg than to marketing. We do not own any of it, none of it is licensed to you, and nothing you buy from us comes with it. If you are on that list and would rather not be, one message and you are off it, no explanation needed. If you think someone deserves a turn, tell us who.
We would far rather fix it than argue about it. Tell us and we will correct it, credit it properly, or take it down — whichever you prefer.

The fees are our advertising budget, paid to the person who brought the customer instead of to Meta, Google or Bing: $19 to $94 a package, plus hosting and mailbox fees every year they stay. The customer pays the same price either way, every partner must say so wherever their link appears, and we never pay for a review.
