Builder · Veloċi vs Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Weebly, Canva · United States

They rent you a website. We build you one in minutes and sell it to you once.

Pick your trade and Veloċi drafts the whole site (headline, copy, services or menu, a curated photo library, hours, reviews) before you've typed a paragraph. You pay $99 once. The five charge every month, forever, and keep the site if you stop.

Time: minutes against hours

Every one of the five starts you at a template or a blank canvas and leaves you to write the copy, find the photos and decide the structure. That's an afternoon if you're quick and a lost weekend if you're not. Veloċi already knows what a plumber's, a café's or a physio's site needs to say and show; the first draft is finished in minutes and you spend your time adjusting, not inventing.

Price: once against forever

Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and Weebly start at $16–$17 a month and never stop; Canva is free until you want your own domain, then it's Canva Pro at $15 a month. None of them let you download your site: the monthly fee isn't for hosting, it's for continued access to your own work.

With Veloċi, it's yours.

Veloċi is a one-off build: $99 (Starter), $239 (Business) or $359 (Growth), files yours to download. Hosting is optional at a flat $62 a year, and if you'd rather host the files yourself, that's allowed too.

What we don't do, on purpose

No blank canvas: we build the page for you rather than hand you a drawing board, so Wix, Squarespace and Canva get the tick there and we don't. No online store and no blog yet. If you need to sell products from the site or publish weekly, Wix, Squarespace or Weebly are the honest pick today. No multi-language sites. We'd rather you know that now than after paying.

What survives a download

Take the file and leave. Here is exactly what keeps working.

"Download your files" is easy to say. This is what is inside the file, what runs on our side, and what happens to each one the day you host it somewhere else.

Works as is Works, and the live part is now yours to do

The editor Open for as long as you host with us. No window Included for 12 months to up to three years, then $62 a year, or edit the HTML yourself for nothing
What this means

Nothing on your site phones home to us.

  • No script on the page calls our servers: no key of ours to expire, no account of ours to lapse.
  • The two things that are genuinely ours are the editor and the hosting, and both are optional.
  • Hosting with us buys publishing, SSL, uptime checks and a person (backups come with the larger tiers); the file is yours either way.

A worked example

Five years of a Austin coffee shop's website: the real bill

The café wants a site with its menu, hours, a bookings link and Google reviews, a .com, and an info@ mailbox. Two receipts, five years, renewal prices.

Veloċi Starter, hosted by uspaid once + flat yearly
Starter site buildpaid once; files yours to download$99
Basic hosting, 5 × $62renews at the price you paid$310
.com, 5 × $13flat; year one included$65
5GB mailbox, 5 × $45info@ at your own domain$225
Five-year total$699
Saves ≈ $810 against Wix over five years
Host the files yourself instead and the bill is $389.
Wix Light, the same setupmonthly, forever
Wix Light, 60 × $17the site switches off the month you stop$1,020
.com: free year one, then 4 × ≈ $17renewal shown after you've bought$69
Google Workspace, 5 × $84resold by Wix$420
Five-year total≈ $1,509
Squarespace Personal + Workspace lands around ≈ $1,460–$1,880; GoDaddy Basic + Microsoft email about $1,254; Weebly Personal + Workspace about $1,100.
What this means

Same café, same menu page: two very different bills.

  • One bill ends: a single payment and four flat renewals.
  • The other keeps going for as long as the café exists.

The fine print, in plain English

Renewal pricesRival figures use each provider's published renewal rates, not the first-year discount.
CanvaCanva Pro with a third-party mailbox comes to about $1,059 over five years, but can't give you a menu-driven business site, a store, a blog or an export.

Partner programme

Know a business that needs a website? We pay you $50 when they buy.

Every business finds Veloċi somewhere: an ad, a search, a friend. We'd rather pay the friend. The fees are our advertising budget, paid to the person who brought the customer instead of to Meta, Google or Bing: $19 to $94 a package, plus hosting and mailbox fees every year they stay. The customer pays the same price either way, every partner must say so wherever their link appears, and we never pay for a review.
